The Ghana Chamber of Mines and Lindiwe Corporate Services would like to express our sincere appreciation to all delegates, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, partners and visitors who contributed towards the success of the Ghana Mining and Energy Summit (GMES) 2017, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre from 31st May to 2nd June, 2017. The event brought together exhibitors and participants from the mining and energy sectors. GMES 2017 was was designed to bolster the conversation on value-creation as well as the competitiveness of the mining sector.
In attendance were the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. John Peter Amewu, and his deputy Hon. Barbara Oteng Gyasi, as well as, the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, Dr. Tony Aubynn, the Acting Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Mr John Pwamang; The Executive Secretary of the Public utilities and Regulatory Commission, Mr. Sam Sarpong and a host of officials from allied organisations and businesses.
This interactive event would not have been possible without your patronage and the vibrant networking that ensued during the 3-day period is a result of your active participation. We were delighted to receive positive feedback from various participants detailing their success in meeting their marketing targets as well as other business and operational goals during this Summit. We have also taken note of the gaps which have been identified in order to ensure that they are not repeated in subsequent events.
