The Ghana Chamber of Mines commends the Government of Ghana for the significant decision taken towards resolving the impasse involving Adamus Resources Limited.

The Chamber welcomes the agreement to implement a twelve-month roadmap to turn around the mine, supported by a six-member joint management team. We believe this collaborative approach demonstrates a commitment to dialogue, investor confidence and the preservation of productive mining assets.

As one of Ghana’s few indigenous large-scale mining operations, the successful revival of Adamus Resources is important for protecting jobs, sustaining local businesses and host communities, and preserving its contribution to government revenue and the wider mining value chain.

The Chamber particularly commends the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and the leadership of the Minerals Commission for their efforts in reaching a practical way forward. We equally acknowledge Adamus Resources Limited for its constructive engagement.

The Chamber encourages all parties to maintain transparency, accountability and commitment to the agreed roadmap, including addressing outstanding liabilities and securing the investment required for the sustainable operation of the mine.
